Since 1997, I’ve provided students with extensive private teaching services in a number of different fields. COUPLES LESSONS

I know how difficult it can be to find a reliable teacher that focuses on Couples Lessons. Teachers need to be able to motivate and guide students towards success. As an experienced and passionate Voice Instructor, I believe in an approach that gives students positive, constructive ways to learn. I design my lessons according to my students’ needs, with an emphasis on confidence-boosting activities.
Private Lessons
VOICE, PIANO, GUITAR, AND DRUM
VOICE LESSONS
Vocal lessons includes how to breathe properly, how to increase vocal range, proper pitch, projection, and stage presence. You will be given tasks to take home with you each lesson.
PIANO LESSONS
We offer lessons from beginners, intermediate, to advanced students. We offer every style of piano lessons such as classical, pop, jazz and more. You will learn from finger placement, scales, memorization and more.
GUITAR LESSONS
If you interested in Guitar lessons, we offer classes from the age of 8 years old to an adult. We have an instructor who will ensure you will learn proper technique, theory and sight reading. You will also be given tasks to take home with you each lesson.
DRUM LESSONS
We offer Drum Lessons from ages 7 years old to adult and our trained instructor will cover key elements from hand/foot coordination and proper stick placement to more advanced rudiments, poly-rhythms and ethnic beats.

Prior to taking lessons, I had absolutely no experience in singing or playing the piano. I was very nervous that I would not catch on quickly but, Shakeatha was very patient with me and worked diligently with me and she made all of my nerves go away. She is a great communicator and she explains the different techniques very well. Within one day I was able to read the music for two songs and play them on the piano by myself. She also taught me some excellent exercises that has helped improve my vocal range. Shakeatha is a very skilled and experienced teacher who loves to help others be the best that they can be. She makes you feel very comfortable and she is very encouraging. I have always had a strong passion to learn how to sing and play the piano and I'm very thankful that I found my teacher Shakeatha. I really enjoy my sessions with Shakeatha and I would definitely recommend her to everyone. She's the best!
